Dear Girl I Don't Know
You've told me a bit,
a vague idea of a she.
Tell me your hopes and dreams,
where do you want to be?
How much have you given to this world,
and how much has been taken from you?
What would you have your children do differently,
and how might that change their view?
If you had a choice between love and money,
between happiness and fame,
would you rather be complacent,
or have everyone know your name?
What do you seek,
this minute, right now?
Are you starting a home,
are you just up for living,
Are you out on your own?
Do you give good massages,
like an encompassing shroud?
Can you see the sunlight,
behind the clouds?
Can you see that I only wish happiness,
and there's no crying allowed?
Why can't I just give you a card upon meeting,
one that says all these things.
I've just a desire to be comfortable,
not needing a ring,
till a much later time,
when life may make sense.
When we too will know,
the wisdom of parents.

Weird Al's new album:
Poodle Hat

is really good!
Notable songs include (but are not limited to):
Couch Potato
Hardware Store
Trash Day
Angry White Boy Polka
Evanescence
has also been rockin' my world as of late. A friend near Boston saw them at a recent show -- said it was amazing... the lead singer can really belt it out... and they've got the music to back her up. Amazing =]
I'm not allowed to go near any shopping sites for at least a couple months.
I just got a deal on XBox: Enter The Matrix, some rugs, a framed Monet print, and a DirtDevil handheld steam cleaner @
Overstock.com. I just added a new link that shows everything added within the past few days. They even just got some Doc Martins in, was going to grab a pair of those too... but didn't have my size :(
I just couldn't resist the lull of awesome deals! Graaa!
And then I was thinking about how I
needed some DVD+Rs to resume backing up my DVD collection. I had foolishly been using DVD-Rs for video... which doesn't work, they're only for data. Now I know, and knowing prevents me from making 10+ coasters in the future. =]

Ever try to fill up a salt and pepper shaker with salt and pepper packets? It takes a long time, there really isn't that much in those things.
So I hope all are happy to hear that the individual who was lying bleeding in the cafeteria is OK. He had a seizure, fell... blood went *KASPLAT* and the forensics were there because he didn't have ID... so they suspected possible foul play.
So if you ever are after someone, make sure they have misleading ID on them. =]~
Walgreens imitation-DayQuil is a speed-ball in a bottle. Speedball = upper + downer = confused heart/body.
With the traditional ingredients - heroin, cocaine... it can result in a Jim Balushi or Sam Kennison.
I'm
so not one for either, but that's just so you know where I'm comin' from here if you're unfamiliar with the nomenclature.
Well here in the ingredients for said 'conscious cold' medicine we have a downer: Deoxymethorphan, and an upper: Psudoephedrine. I'm wondering why I'm feeling so twitchy and needing to stretch... and I think that might have something to do with it. I also had caffeine which intensifies the effect of the psudoephedrine... so my body is so not sure what to do right now, but it knows one thing - my nose is clear and I'm not feeling sick... at least until everything wears off.
Pop culture here I come! Doo do doo, dum dum dum dum.
I saw a kid walking down the street today, maybe 12 or 13. He had his headphones on... crossed the street in front of me at the light. Another somewhat large guy was walking towards the intersection, coming from the street behind me - he also had his headphones on. The kid crossed the street and looked right at the other guy, direct eye contact as far as I could tell, then looked back ahead and kept walking. Now I'm not exactly city-wise. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do, and can only assume what you're not... but this surprised me. I figured the kid, when confronted with the large man, would keep his head down, and plow ahead. I don't know what I expected to happen, like after glancing right at the guy... he was going to steamroll a kid? It just made me think, so it made it here.
I'm going to put another
shameless plug because there's some new games, specials, and various doo-dads. I posted a link to 'Enter The Matrix' the other day... will be updating soon with new recommended games. I want to do separate pages for all these things - but unfortunately I have not had the time to do so. I'm gaining my ambition back -- like being able to sit down and work out a page. I finished one for the housemates the other day. We don't have a whiteboard, so we have a blog-board. I centered it around "The Matrix" just cause it's the most techno-centric topic I could find pictures of =] I used the one where he's looking down the hall and it's all code, including the agents at the end. The blog hovers over the center square, and the background is staticly placed with a semi-transparent see-behind-the-text-to-the-background sort of thing goin on. It's cool... I like it.
...and no -- I'm not going to post a link to it, everyone doesn't need to know who cleaned the kitchen and who bought toiletpaper. =]
Was I going to post some links? Yes?

So I'm sick - co worker spread the joy, I have no sick days - but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss any work because of this. I'm sure he was thinking the same thing when he waltzed in here to get better just as I'm coming down with it -- just to mess with my head! No... not really, it's just due to our sick policy. It's hours... but it used to be occurances (didn't work, of course) where you could be out for 3 days in a row -- and it was 1 occurance of sick time, same as taking 1 day -- so people would take multiple days at a time just for the hell of it. If it counts the same, might as well get a few days out of it. So they changed it, now you're out a day and you better get back if you want to be able to get sick again in the same year.
Thats enough of that, though -- everyone gets hell for being sick, not being able to work... and turns out the leading cause of people missing work:
hangovers.

So the rain has stopped... 7 days total I believe.
I'm happy -- it's a nice day... for a
b l o o d b a t h !!!
Ok -- maybe not that extreme, but there was a dead body, some blood... and unusual circumstance (though I don't think it was murder, per se) surrounding the cafeteria here @ work. It's run by an outside company, so I don't have any inside info -- but they had the bathroom roped off and there was a stain of sorts on the tile/marble/carpet. They had most of it covered up, no 'police line' just 'caution'. An ambulance came, but everyone was saying "dead guy". I'm assuming suicide if not just someone falling and splitting their head open.
I wasn't able to ask the people who work there about it, they were tight-lipped, their manager was running around, as were scattered forensics. I might find more info tomorrow... but for now various people are just weird'd out by it.
I must admit -- I had to go near it to grab some mayo... felt a weird vibration from it, almost a magnetic pushing.
I believe in the whole aura and +/- energy theory, like a traumatic event leaves a sort of footprint. Now to see if that's correct and that I'm not just imagining things in my head...

I went to go play pool this evening with my friend Caitlin and her partner in crime - Danielle.
We headed to one of my favorite spots: Boston Billiards. They have a really nice place, full-sized tables, good people, decent drinks if a little high-priced, and some of the best waitresses around. =]
There was a fire truck there - firemen walking on the roof, milling about. Danielle didn't have a valid ID so we couldn't get in, but the bouncer said there was a sort of electrical fire... then people started getting sick. It could have been gas... or insulation burning... something like that, so just as well that we didn't go - might save us some respiratory issues.
We ended up going to CoEd's a really seedy pool hall. Small tables, cheap sticks, cheap drafts and drinks. The local hangout for the local teenagers from near my hometown (Ware, Palmer, Warren, etc) so I usually see at least 1 person I know. You don't need to be 18 to get in, and they won't check for ID usually unless you go up to the bar.
We got a few drinks - played some pool - and headed home, not too exciting -- but we got out.
Everywhere was crawling with cops due to the holiday - just waiting to catch those swerving or speeding. I was just extra careful and made it home without incident.
I think the escalated level makes everyone edgy... they're looking at everything as a possible terrorist action.
Which reminds me: there's a
new site that addresses the concern for national security...

So this has got to be the most dreary weekend in a long while... it's like 5-7 days straight of darkness and rain.
Everyone's lethargic, staying in... tired. I have a birthday party at the local club to go to tonight. I like going out... it's just that they always play the same crap there. It's about an hour of good music, with shit inbetween... and then they repeat about an hour before closing. (because they let you in an hour early if you're with a birthday party)
They have 'hot body contests' but the same people own the club as they do the local strip club... so the women baring all and winning always mysteriously end up being from said strip club... interesting. ;)
It's free, though... other then drinking... and I think I'm probably good on that.

So there's some major stuff going down today.
Microsoft is talking to SCO in order to
license UNIX.
SCO is in turn sending notices to certain distributors of Linux saying that they are distributing an "unauthorized derivative" of their operating system.
Mac OSX already has a license for the UNIX basis for their operating system from BSD... so they're unaffected, but all the other flavors of Linux are possibly threatened if they can indeed prove that Linux uses the UNIX engine/technology.
Mac's
online music service might be causing a stir, but this new
Spanish site: Puretunes.com is doing
more then that.
The claim they're licensed, citing a loophole in Spanish copyright law that lets them distribute the media in whatever way they see fit -- though giving royalties to the artists. It's $3.99 for all you can download in 8 hours. The trick (given the speed of the website) may just be that you won't be able to get much in that time from such a slow server, but I've yet to give it a shot. My advice would be to get as much as you can quickly -- as a court order seems inevitable.
It's ten o'clock, do you know where your dog's
prosthetic testicular tranceiver is?
Robots are cool, even
cockroach robots.
I don't believe this... but
read it for yourself.
Still awaiting verification that it's real... but remember that $1B or so that Saddam took?
They've probably found most of it.

nicely designed blog.

I had to put my kitty down, last night. The past few days have been pretty rough for her, I had seen her around the house at different intervals, but normally she'd be in one spot for at least 24 hours. After talking with my Ken I realized the only reason she'd been in different places was because people had picked her up to move her.
She had also spent an extended period in a cupboard in the bathroom because she went in there to hide and sit... and didn't meow or even try to get out for at least a day... which is when we heard her and got her out. I had tried to give her tuna, but she wasn't really having it. Since I was under the impression that she was still mobile, I just made sure the food bowl was full and within reach.
After being missing for a day yesterday I knew she had snuck downstairs. I went down, called for her and heard a tiny weak meow from the darkest corner of the cellar.
I called for her, she was trying... I could hear slow movement and walking over wood, other scattered basement stuff... and when she finally made it into the light, her legs buckled and she fell on the wooden slats she was trying to walk over. I picked her up, she was limp in my arms... and I knew it was probably time.
I brought her upstairs, took her right to the food. She sniffed the food... then fell face first right into it. I picked her back up, she couldn't stand without me holding her. I put out another bowl, grabbed what was left of the milk... and held her close to it, she tried to lick and again collapsed, submerging her nose and face in the milk. I picked her up, took her to say her goodbyes to everyone at the house, grabbed a box with a towel, and we went to the animal hospital.
I was really crying by the time I got there, I hated to do it... but I could tell she was in pain. She would just buckle every minute or so... pulling away from some unknown thing. It was so sad, but the nurses understood. We went into the waiting room and everything was squared away shortly thereafter. I wanted to take her home after, but it's not my yard... and I'd hate to go out there and see it all dug up some day. It was $65 extra for me to be with her... $48 for them to keep the body... and $24 for the deed itself. I wanted to be with her, but I couldn't... apparently the $65 pays for the "doctor's time". I don't need a doctor there, just a nurse... they do the same thing. From what Phil said about watching his cat be put to sleep... I'd almost rather not have seen her. She gave me a good enough look before I left...
It's funny, when listing "5 things I couldn't live without" and "things that are in my room"
a cat is listed in both places... I know I'm not alone now... but I feel different.
I've never been one to dwell on death, I accept it as better then living in pain... and each has their own definition of pain, so of course it's going to be different for everyone. Some don't accept it, some ask why... but the only reason is that it's just part of it all and you do the best you can with what you have in the meanwhile.

So here I am wondering about rushing into things again.
Cathy and I were like two peas in a pod... she's got a wonderful sense of humor. She appreciates my remarks, though one or two has shot over her head, but sometimes it's hard to catch things over IM unless you're already somewhat familiar with the person.
My first impression is that she comes from a good family, she dresses well, dances... and picked up on being spun and traditional dance moves really quick. We'd dance and I'd spin her, she's roll away and sping back up into my arms. It was really wonderful.
Here I go again getting really intimate with someone, and then having to learn about the person after I've already gotten past the point of 'meeting'. Questions don't really get asked, though this time I'm trying to avoid that. I sent an email with some questions, a few I borrowed from an online personal -- a few corny questions. This gives me a bit more info about her.
From what I gather she's a good studier, but partied it up before going off to college. She's studying to be a Doctor, and doing pretty good so far. She's doing well in Chemistry, other subjects didn't really come up. She likes funny stuff like South Park, can appreciate my sense of humor... and was very cool when we upstairs to visit with Ken, Phil, and Troy. She sat on my lap and she was more involved in the conversation then I was... I wanted to sit back and see how she interacted, which I was pleased to see she did quite well.
She dresses well, and is skilled with internet related things... or if not skilled, at least effectively proficient. =]
She lives near Framingham, so it's a bit of a walk... but having a girl at UMASS isn't a bad thing. Networking works better with a large group to possibly create connections with. The more people who know that you're in business (computers, web stuff) the more people have you pop into their head when a situation arises that requires said services.

Yesterday was a good day. I didn't sleep in -too- late, got up by 11 and already had a few calls waiting for me. I called Laura back, everyone else was already involved. She was at the park, but she popped over after a bit. I got some cleaning done (it never stops!) in the meanwhile... and we were off to get ice cream! It was a beautiful day... I just love driving when it's like that. So we hung out at the ice cream place... we were just talking for a long time, all sorts of random stuff. I don't even know how long we were there, but people came and went... someone from where I work, a dautson with sunglasses on... few nice cars went by (all suped up, crazy paint jobs that sparkled in the sun) and people accross the street played the 7th hole at regular intervals. It was such a great time, very relaxing.
We headed back as Holly (Laura's friend) had to go to work later on, so we headed back. I killed some time while Laura dropped her off at home and then later on we went to my friend's to go jump on the trampoline. We chilled for a while, I got XMen2 (kinda crappy, but at least it's a screener - SVCD) and we headed off to go eat @ Ruby Tuesdays. I had a peppercorn steak to die for and an 1800 Margarita that hit the spot. By the time we got home it was like 12... watched a little TV and I went to bed.

So I had a little get-together on Saturday.
Just a few people, my friend Jamie, her boyfriend, and her roommate from UMASS.
We spent the night partying, hanging out, and having a general good time.
Jamie is a good friend from way back at home, she goes to UMASS and is in the Varsity Cheerleading squad. I hadn't seen her in a while so it was good to catch up, we only get together once every couple months due to both of our busy schedules.
This time she wanted me to meet her room mate Cathy. A very cool young lady -- even introduced me to "Rejected" - a
Don Hertzfeld cartoon that I hadn't seen. I in turn, introduced her to the first one - "Women" (I had posted a link to it somewhere in the past, but couldn't find it and ended up getting it off Grokster).
It was a fun evening, unfortunately it seems the end of the school year is when everyone's looking to meet people... but it's also the time that school's ending and people are going back home for the summer =(
The new house mate moved her couches and kitchen stuff in today... kinda crowded downstairs, but makes for a much cozier living room (more comfortable too!). The set is dark maroon, Raymour and Flannagan... and it's very very floofy. =]
Everything will be official as of June 1st.

There's some links coming, but first:
My friend Jamie IM'd me the other night. She's a cheerleader at UMASS that I know from working @ Walmart back in highschool. We hung out, talked a lot, and we became really good friends. She said she wants her roommate to meet me, and that she's probably 'my type'. It's a bit of a set up... partying with a girl, her boyfriend, her roommate, and the 'guy she wants her to meet'. (but she assures me that it's not) I'm just lookin to chill, haven't seen my friend in a while... don't want to worry about having any expectations thrown at me.
I'm just meeting the girl... s'all. (...then why do I feel all butterfly-ee?)
So they'll be coming over tonight after I get out of work... should be a fun time.

The Summer of Serin
You know the Seinfeld episode where George declares it shall be "The Summer of George".
Well I got a similar revelation coming. =]
Everything's looking good so far, living for me, and hopefully meeting someone special. With all the girls out of college, they're raring to go... everyone's looking to hook up who's not, and things are lookin good.
I'm hoping to meet someone at least relatively attractive, but my trouble is I see past initial looks either thinking that I can go on like that forever... thinking logically about it, in other words. Then my loins take over -- lunge at the next cute little thing that I see... and I realize how the mind and body don't agree, sometimes.
I'm looking for substance. I've had looks without substance and it was torture. I've also had substance without looks and I was completely happy... unfortunately I usually end up without either.
I want to be comfortable, I don't want to stand out.
I want to be able to talk, I want to be able to listen.
I want to be able to just go, I want to do nothing.
I want to understand, and I want to feel understood.
I have made a mission statement, and with that:
"im going to bring my bf with us too and that way it will be us and you and cathy ( my roomate) i know this kinda seems like a set up, and i wont lie, it sorta of is lol. i think you are her type andi dont know what youre type is or if youre looking but at the very least i think you guys will get along lol. and i dunno if you wanna party that night or anything, "
[
update: 08/27/03] None of the above really worked out -- I had a lot of fun this summer, but it was filled with confusion, some poison ivy, stuff being stolen, being laid off, and having fights with house mates. I went to a lot of parties, which was fun but I didn't really meet anyone new, I think I still come accross as too strong. I came to the realization that the grass is always greener, and the fence looks a hell of a lot easier to climb then it really is.

...now to the news-type stuff:
A really

Here's some evidence to support the whole slimy weasel theory. How can they do this and no one says anything? They're all about the 'good stature' and 'morality' but when it comes down to it, they're all doing it for a little pocket change down the road. It certainly looks suspicious.

Whew.
Had my 2 finals today -= I got a 94 on my Database final, and I'm thinkin 90s on my Accounting final as there was only 1 section that I was kinda iffy on. I also had the pleasant experience of a car alarm starting about 10 minutes into said Accounting final - it would go off for about 30 secconds, stop for about 10 secconds, then start again... it was still going when I got out of there so I tracked the car down. It was a green Ford Taurus. Who needs an alarm on a Taurus?!! It was still going off, unmanned, unharmed... I was thinking of all the things I could do... rock, maybe leave a note, but I spat on it in disgust and moved on.

People are dumb. iTunes can share songs over the net (streaming, not P2P) and

This weekend was fun, relaxing, and just plain nice (other then the weather). It's been rainy and dark the past few days... not exactly pleasant, but a reason to stay indoors and be cozy.
I've been corresponding with a young lady via email... hadn't actually met - but went to go meet her the other day and I was surprised. I still have to spend some more time with her as we were both very reserved. It's weird first meeting someone, you're not sure what to say, what to do... and when to shut up. We went around the mall for a little bit, went to go see X2 - It was good, I was pleased, especially considering the first one was so short - this was a little over 2 hours. Very nice.
We went back to hang at her Sorority for a while... then I made sure I left by a reasonable hour.
I had a good time, we talked about menial things... nothing spectacular, but I wasn't bored.
We had similar taste in art, she knew the artists I was talking about, and even had a few of her own.
Dali was the particular one that caught my attention.
The bad part is that college is almost over, if anything we'll probably just hang a few times, maybe meet up again over the summer... but it's always nice meeting new people, there's good ones out there -- it's just difficult sifting through the rest =]
When you find a person with a good mind and a good heart, appreciate it, cause they're few and far between.

There's no news today... it's slow on a Saturday as usual. I heard about a party tonight, but not sure if I'm invited... don't really know the person all that well - so don't want to push it. I should be hearing back from them soon... maybe? I'm hoping for that as something to do this evening, if not -- no bigee. I am perfectly content just staying at home... I gave a few people a call, seeing what they're up to tonight, so the back up plan is to have a little gathering of my own.

I added another
sponsor, which allowed me access to vendors that I've actually purchased from! I went with those things first as I've recommended them to others as good buys, and Overstock.com as a good place to shop (but only for certain items, the deals on electonics are far from earth-shattering).
I'm hoping to get EBworld.com soon, then I'll be able to link to the newest/preorder games as they've got the best selection around.

I just hung out last night at home -- first time in a while. I didn't have homework, didn't have anywhere to go -- and that was fine with me, I had my XBox =] A few people stopped by, we played some Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers -- really incredible game. I love watching it, which you have to... considering it's only a 1 player game. There's 3 characters so each person can have their own and trade off, so it's multi-player adaptable. It's the sequal to
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
. It's much more refined, but the first game is still fun (and less than $20).

Last night I headed out to Framingham State to visit my friend, play some poker, and get up early for a speeding ticket at the local court there. It was fun, my first real time playing poker (with money). I was getting down when I got a good hand or two, and took a gigantic pot after 3 hands of "Follow the Bitch"
2 cards down, 5 up - Queens and any card following a queen showing up are wild, and "If the Queen don't show, the pot don't go"
It went 4 hands before we finally got a queen, and I ended up with all the wilds and 4 nines over someone else's 4 fours.
It was $30 to get in, I had borrowed $10 - so by the end I was up quite a bit... and without that much of an initial investment.
I think I'm going to play poker more often ;)
I slept there in the dorm, snuggled up on a papa-san. Woke up, showered, and felt the true college life. I went to court this morning about 10am, I sat and waited for about 40 minutes to be heard. I recounted, and they agreed I wasn't going 89 in a 65, I was going 75... yay. My whole point was that even though it was laser, and he says I was in the far lane... if another car is inbetween the cop and me, he's registering the other car. I wasn't going slow by any means, and certainly not even the speed limit... so that was good enough for me. It's points, but I'm a 15 right now, so it's not the end of the world.
When I was on the way home, I stopped for something to eat. I'm sitting there, country music is playing...
a remake of whitney houston's bodyguard song a song originally done by Dolly Pardon and remade by Whitney Houston for 'Bodyguard', some other country re-makes and typical country songs. I wondered if the owner was a country fan, or if it was the chain that determines the music. At any rate --- two women came in with about 4-6 kids probably no older then 2 or 3. They all ran to the jukebox --
"Look a game!" they started climbing up the front of it -
"The buttons aren't working!... Mom! Mom... mom... the buttons aren't working".
"That's because we don't have any money to put in it."
"We don't have any money?!!" and then it was like a lightbulb went on above his head, he turned to the boy next to him "We can't play... becase we don't have money!" ...a logical conclusion, also a pre-cursor to a life realization that you can't do what you want (play) without money. Without knowing it, his mother gave him very good reasoning why we should all want money.
I also heard a good quote at the courthouse - "Now I don't race, I just like to show them how well I can keep up."
...and this one from when we were playing poker. One of the guys went outside to smoke a cigarette and recounted his discussion with some guy outside:
And he's trying to talk to me after talking shit last time he was here all drunk and shit. So I say:
"Are you talking to me... bitch?"
"I'm a bitch?"
"Yeah - when I wake up in the morning and I ask myself: Who's my bitch? I think you. The only reason you're all up in my face is because you've got 3 boys behind you -- I've got 9 guys up there that'll readily come down here and beat your ass... but if you want to go up on that hill right there -- I will KNOCK you down."
...and one of his boys kinda chuckles.
"Yeah bitch?"
"Biiiiiiiiiiiitch."
"bitch?"
"B I T C H."
"bitch?"
"Now I'm going to turn around, so you can look at my back - OK bitch?"
...then as I'm goin in his boy leans to me and whispers "You're bitch is my bitch."
So there's my adventure for the day - I get out on time today, as I got in here on time (with the help of 2 hours personal time). I'm tired, but I didn't get another ticket going out there, got the one I had reduced, had a great time while I was out there, and got some extra loot in the process. =] So I'm doin OK.

Ok, so I really really really wanted to update yesterday -- too much to do, and too little internet access. I'm still playing phone tag with the satellite guy. It's like he's offended cause he called me the day after he knew I needed someone to come out - I told him he couldn't come out that day... that I'd have to do it for another -- he put off scheduling and said he'd call back. I called him back yesterday, left a message with his wife/secretary, and haven't heard back since. S'all good, I'm getting reimbursed for this period -- and I'm not letting them tell me otherwise!
So anyhow, you probably remember the "girls" from the other night. Well -- new info has surfaced:
- they've been over every night since
- they have another attractive, pleasant friend -- Amy, who they brought over on the 2nd night
- on the 3rd night all 3 arrived with their boyfriends
- said boyfriends very sketchy (and very large)
- Amanda has been IM-ing and saying things indicating she would rather not be with her boyfriend
- one of said boyfriends is in fact a semi-pro football player?
- since they were over -- they've noticed a similar car driving by slowly (casing?)
- the girls (Samantha in particular) are very obsessed w/ $ and bling.bling
(side note, bling bling was just recently added to the Oxford dictionary)
- boyfriends, especially large ones, being pissed off by others hanging with their girlfriends is not good
- said boyfriends were calculating (made requests that would cause them to be alone in the room for an extended period... looked sketchy upon return)
- said boyfriends also guarded -- like they're used to be around untrusting individuals
- one was caught peering into his Honda Accord (91/92?) after said questionable request
Granted, this is second hand information, but upon recollection the housemates noticed more and more tell-tale signs.
I'm overly suspicious of people that there's an initial affront to... it's best to go with instincts, they're usually right. I won't go into my past experience -- but the 2 times I've given the benefit of the doubt in a possibly sketchy situation, I've been quite clearly made the fool.
There are 2 possibilities - the girls do this often, they either try to piss off the boyfriends creating jealousy and cementing them into the relationship... or they intend to genuinely leave them for a person or persons at the house.
This will still lead to large boyfriends being very upset, while knowing where they live.
They could also have a sort of plan, casing the joint, and returning to burgle.
(I admit, that's worst-case scenario -- but had I assumed worst case scenario, it would not have happened to me)
So they are also coming to the party on Friday after their show at WNEC -- there will be many friends there who will all be watching these people's every move. If I see anything marginally suspicious -- it shall be worth the pining.
