So I'm sick - co worker spread the joy, I have no sick days - but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss any work because of this. I'm sure he was thinking the same thing when he waltzed in here to get better just as I'm coming down with it -- just to mess with my head! No... not really, it's just due to our sick policy. It's hours... but it used to be occurances (didn't work, of course) where you could be out for 3 days in a row -- and it was 1 occurance of sick time, same as taking 1 day -- so people would take multiple days at a time just for the hell of it. If it counts the same, might as well get a few days out of it. So they changed it, now you're out a day and you better get back if you want to be able to get sick again in the same year.

Thats enough of that, though -- everyone gets hell for being sick, not being able to work... and turns out the leading cause of people missing work: hangovers.
