I found a handy little page with many handy programs and utilities.

I don't think I can handle this rejection. All the work I've done for this god damn site... and he's stuck on the spots. How long ago did I show him the prototype, and he's waited until now to say something?

I can't show what extraordinary blend of form and function can be presented via the web if I make it like any other site.

I'm in the process of formulating how I want to handle this. Granted, we have an agreement -- I underestimated how long it would take me, but that can be expected as this is one of my first real jobs that's not for myself. I presented him with the option of reselling, contracting the actual job to him while I created the site, worked on the marketing, and formulated my own business of sorts with the web site but he wanted me to build it for him.

I don't want to change it, but the main thing he mentioned was the "white spots". His wife couldn't get past the spots, "what are they for?" "they don't do anything". I had the spots mentioned to me early in development by Rachel, but didn't pay much heed. He didn't mention anything at the time, and I figured it would be far less prominent with text in front of it.

I suppose I could make a table inside, give that table a background, then the other things like the triangle showing which section you're in wouldn't be effected. Otherwise if I change the brightness or contrast, the 4 different places where it's blended all have to be changed, and in some cases that would mean reprocessing the whole background for a given section.

I'm just not in the mood for this. I've been working my ass off on this thing for the past couple nights. I was all excited that it was almost done, thinking it was really coming together and now I have to change the most non-functional, yet most-integral part of the site? The background?!! *sigh*
